Clearance (hot) last check prior to failure :- .0055".

V.C.M. sleeve Brinell No.675.

This bearing completed 4 hours endurance at 2100 lbs/sq.in. but failed whilst setting up to 2300 lbs/sq.in.

Type of Failure.

Solid seizure without warning.
The material had picked up heavily on the sleeve.
