Please receive herewith PD.290 shewing design for a sodium cooled exhaust valve.
It is proposed to try a set with the object to overcome the overheating which occurs at 3000 r.p.m.
This is a phenomena since the detonation comes on with full load only at this speed, above or below in revs. it does not occur.
