Dear Sir,

I am requested by Wing Commander A,B,Woodhall; Commanding Officer at the R.A.F. Station, Duxford; whether it would be possible for him to purchase, from R.R. Ltd. a second hand 2I._ H,P. R.R. Car engine with gearbox attached.

This Officer was at one time a Test Pilot and Flight Commander at Martlesham Heath, and as such, has carried out some useful work for our Firm on prototype aircraft with our engines installed.

It is to be assumed that the Exp, Dept, at Derby may have such an engine, age would not be any disadvantage.

In the event of no such engine being available; a complete Car of similar H,P. might be considered.

I remain,

Yours faithfully;
C. F.{Mr Friese} Goode.
