| To London Depot, Hythe Road, LONDON. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}3/ET.21.8.40. Experimental Dept. Attached are copies of a letter we have had from Mr. Martin- Hurst and our reply. As stated, we would like if possible to get hold of the re- bored block and chrome plate the bores at Derby. It would not be necessary to fit new pistons, the thickness of chrome being negligible in this respect. If you have the facilities for carrying out your part of the job, and if the customer agrees, it is suggested that you send the block to Derby marked for the attention of Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Expenses would be charged to the Experimental Dept. at Derby, an order number being allocated for the work entailed.
