BENTLEY CHASSIS - LEAD BRONZE BEARINGS.

With reference to your memo. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}8/R.24.5.35.
we see no objection to the signing of the standardisation sheet, but we are of the opinion that the date as to when they can be introduced on Bentley chassis should be deferred until we have settled the lead bronzing of bearings for the increased aero production.

This is the more important issue for the time being and as soon as the complete arrangements are made for the increased aero engine demand, we shall be in a position to more accurately determine the date as to when the lead bronze bearings can be introduced on Bentley chassis.
