Mistake in the detailing of the Bentley III Front Suspension Yoke piece FB.2943.

| To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} BENTLEY III FRONT SUSPENSION YOKE. We understand that there has been a mistake made in detailing the yoke piece FB.2943, which involves the transverse pivot lean. The design asks for 3.5° transverse pivot lean and 1° wheel angle, however, the original detail drawing gives 3° transverse pivot lean and 1.5° wheel angle. Although the drawing has now been rectified, we understand that 3 sets of yoke pieces have been machined. It will be quite satisfactory to fit these first yoke pieces, but it should be recorded in the specification when they are fitted. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
