BENTLEY 111 - REAR SPRINGS.

Herewith the following scheme :-

F.CD.128 Modified Rear Shackle (Threaded Shackle).

Owing to the difficulty of rolling over the ends of the bronze bushes we are altering the material to S/ZN. and hardening the threads. A groove must then be added to remove the carburised thread so that after hardening, there is left a soft portion where the oil hole is drilled.

The undercut in the centre of the threaded pin is no longer necessary.

The bushes are increased in diameter to accommodate the groove, and the arrangement of oil hole drilling is altered.
