Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

PACKING GLANDS FOR WET LINERS.

We enclose a sample ring of a new packing ("Linertite") which we have recently introduced for the above.

This material is composed of Asbestos with a small percentage of rubber to make it resilient, and we consider it is far superior to any other material on the market today for making water-tight joints for wet liners.

"Linertite" is only suitable for the gland when the rings are fitted in the cylinder block, as it cannot be stretched. We recommend that the inside diameter of the rings should be -.007" on the diameter of the cylinder.

We shall be pleased to send you any further particulars if you are interested.

Yours faithfully,

For COOPERS MECHANICAL JOINTS LTD.
