For varnishes apply to metal foil giving two coats & allowing each to dry thoroughly.

Tapes to be wound on 1" rod overlapping half their width, and a feeler passed over by an insulating handle.

Specialized tests:— In addition to the above.

a) Paper

1) Weigh a sample and expose to a damp atmosphere for a considerable time (all night). Re-weigh and note % moisture absorbed.

2) Dry in an oven at 100°C for 6 hours. Support the sample vertically in the (Contd)
