| - 2 - forward bolts secure the bracket to the centre section of the frame side member. Incidentally we periodically find the front shock dampers loose on their securing bolts. Is this perhaps where the confusion has arisen? - but even so, there are not many of these. This analysis excludes complaints of "knocks" where hydraulic knock is eliminated by "bleeding". If you have in mind the possibility of an epidemic arising, in order to reassure you, I give you the figures for the June, September and December quarters respectively:- June................ 11. September............ 7. December............. 13. To date I think there are only five. Regarding your final paragraph, I will watch the monthly return of complaints and if these exceed the average of the past three months, I will notify you of their nature. [Signature] Since compiling the above return, I have ascertained from the Test people on incoming test"that the four bolts referred to under the item "Slack on frame" are periodically found to be slightly loose when checked for purposes of giving information to Shops, and which if left to carry on, would have ultimately developed into an elongated hole. Perhaps this, in conjunction with the front shock dampers is where the query arises. K/KC. | ||
