G.H. Grylls, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Grylls,

Following on our conversations with regard to new design of D.W.S. Jacks for the future, I have pleasure in enclosing, herewith, General Arrangement of the new pump box together with designs for single and double stage jack rams. The jack rams, of course, can be supplied in various lengths according to requirements.

The attachment of the rams to the car may now be carried out either by screwing the outside diameter of the main tube when using lock rings as previously employed, or by welding the bracket or a portion of the bracket direct to the ram tube by a new process.

The matter of fittings, however, should I think constitute the subject of a special discussion when the time comes.

I shall be glad to have your comments and criticisms on the new designs, at your earliest convenience as I propose putting in hand models for test without delay, and I have no doubt you would like to have a complete set for trial as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

for DONALD SESSIONS & COMPANY LIMITED.

Director & General Manager.
