D.CD.1162 DASH AND FOOTSWITCH WIRING.

B.V. 50 SETS.

RC{R. Childs}

The dash wiring is carried in standard flexible tube as used in the chassis frame, and held down with standard clips.

Owing to reduced space between floorboards and flange along bottom of dash, the conduit from R.H. to L.H. side is kept above the floorboards, with an exit in the centre for footswitch cables, which now feed down along top of metal floorboard.

This cancels D.CD.1145 which shows the cables to footswitch passing through the metal floorboard, which now remains as before except for a local radius added to edge of 5.200 diameter hole, and 5 hank rivets for cover fixing. The .4375 diameter hole provided for the inspection lamp switch cable has been deleted from dash.

We should like to know the relative cost of similar conduits in black or grey rubber .062 thick with an external beading at each end.

This would avoid sweating the ferrules on the ends of the metal flexible tube, and affect considerable saving in time.
