300b. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/LMW3/R.1.10.37. 39-EX - P.III. 15,000 Miles Test. Before this car goes to France it is desirable to incorporate the following features for which design drawings are not available, in addition to those in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les9/MH.{M. Huckerby}29.9.37. We do not wish to send the car out with any experimental schemes on it, so would, therefore, like these as soon as possible. (1) Increased inertia applied to cheapened flywheel and four finger clutch, as called for in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC{N. R. Chandler}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}28.9.37. (2) Improved clutch servo as intended for standardisation on completion of tests by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} A harder rubber for the clutch pedal stop is also required as this collapsed on 32-EX in France. (3) Scheme suitable for production for A.C. bye-pass oil filter as tested by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} (4) Five blade fan with double belt drive. (5) Rubber mounting for petrol pipe behind dash and final details suitable for production as requested by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems} (6) Automatic starter switch with contacts deleted. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
