Lewis / Mr Valentine}, in reply to ours of the 8th. We note your remarks regarding the difficulty of sending 12 foot lengths. This material is to be used for experimental purposes and we cannot give you definite lengths. We therefore suggest that, under the circumstances, when you receive our official order, you supply in 6 foot lengths. If supported by a strip of timber, we think this should travel satisfactorily. We refer you to our previous letter, in which we asked for information on the correct section numbers of this material and also the widths of boxing in which it can be supplied.
