1021 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT Clan Foundry, B E L P E R.{Sir Henry Royce} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.1/ET 11th January, 1941. I.C.I. (Paints) Limited, Wexham Road, S L O U G H, Bucks. Dear Sirs, Replying to your letter of 8th January (your reference 270/NHD/JD{J. Draper - Frames}) with reference to our letter of 4th October to the American Chemical Paint Company of Ambler, Pa.{Mr Paterson} regarding cleaning and coating of automobile bodies, we are enclosing herewith copy of their advertisement which appeared in the S.A.E. JOURNAL of August 1940. We are interested in cleaning and preparing steel automobile bodies and wings for painting. We gather from the advertisement in question that the Spray-Granidizing process is an improvement on the present acid cleaning process. We are sorry that your Mr. Bradshaw was unable to see the writer when he visited Derby last week. This Department is not in Derby, but at the Clan Foundry, Belper, some 7 miles outside Derby. Should Mr. Bradshaw be in this district again in the near future, we shall be pleased to see him and discuss the matter. If you will advise us beforehand of his coming, we shall be obliged. Yours faithfully, | ||
