R.R. 14 (20 ft) (H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 360. 16.9.09) E.P. 4941. 3800 2300 X 985 Official RAC Test on Napier Car 4-cyl 16.9 HP, cylinders 3 1/2" bore by 5-in stroke having a 4-seated side-entrance body, with an area of 19.4 square feet. Weight of vehicle 2,596 lbs; weight of three passengers and ballast 560 lbs; total weight 3,156 lbs. Air supply to carburettor was hand-controlled, petrol consumption was 6.0375 gallons, or equal to 26.004 m.p.g. The test took place on Brooklands Track on 23rd Septr/09. The car started at the foot of the test hill, ascended the hill, was driven at a controlled speed from top of hill to paddock, and thence to exit gate; from exit gate to paddock completely round the track, and once round to the commencement of the straight, then down the straight to the foot of the hill where the wheels were brought to rest and the hill ascended from a standing start, repeating the above course of 5.99 miles on each circuit.
