Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter WR/HMD of the 16th inst. re covers for our Brake adjustment mechanism. There are one or two points we wish to raise, as follows.

(i) Looking at your Drawing No. D.K.104/33, it would appear that it is very difficult to pass the rubbers over the lever ends, unless of course you intend using very flexible rubber.

(ii) In a case where the brake adjustment has to be taken up it is quite likely that the rubbers will distort and so expose the mechanism to water and grit, etc.

However, we shall be pleased to hear your comments on the matter.

Will you at the same time please give us a quotation for these covers, per set of four, apart from the cost of tools which we already know.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
