To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to W. Bell. +342 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.2/KW.3.12.35. Shock Damper Rig Tests. The following new shock damper items for Ph.III still require considerable investigation on the bench. (1) Latest front damper unit with standard valve to N.Sch.4503. (2) Autolock front damper N.Sch.4520. (3) Autolock rear damper N.Sch.4525. Indicator diagrams are also required from the borrowed De Ram damper. The temporary Customs Importation expires in two weeks. Besides all these items, there will always be the adjustment of shock damper loads for our cars. There is now a new rig running which is capable to operate any of the new high load dampers, but at the moment it appears quite impossible to tackle more than one item at the same time. In consequence, if any setting is required for dampers from cars which are in the Fitting Shop, all our investigation work is stopped. Will you please therefore arrange for W. Bell's branch to be capable of dealing with more shock damper work. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
