HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x7772. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Left-Handed Chassis for America. Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Bx. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}12/E9.5.30 I notice from R3/M5/5.30 and R1/M4.5.30 that there is something in connection with the shock dampers and the extension of central lubrication to the axles which R.{Sir Henry Royce} has condemned. I am wondering, therefore, what is being done in regard to getting these points right before the car runs the 10,000 miles test. Doubtless you will be going into this matter as soon as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} return, but it just occurred to me that it would appear to be important to get it seen to before the test even if it meant bringing the car home to England forthis purpose.
