- 2 - 14th July 1938. You may anticipate having a tremendous amount of trouble over this, but I shall save you as much as I can and directly you get tired of me, and my works, kindly have the decency to say so. I am banking on the assumption that the Phantom is the best thing that can possibly be got, and also that in the event of anything untoward happening all you have to do is to hold your finger up and whistle, and somebody at once appears from the R.R.Co., and puts it right. Yours, Kenneth P. S. Needless to say, I am treating your letters as described, namely, "Strictly Confidential". I say the same thing to you because except for my two confidential people, nobody here or at home (except of course my wife) knows anything about the matter or will do until it is a "fait accompli". [Handwritten note at bottom] The hunch is a Rise. Seldon is tired Quis? has to be pushed? - from very much I heard of him | ||
