W.III NO.10 UNIT.

Since it has been decided to run the "Continental" (14.B.V.) over the 15,000 miles test, we do not consider that the engine we allotted for trial on this car, namely, B.V. No.1 unit, is suitable for this both in regard to specification and condition.

It is proposed therefore to allott the above Wraith III No.10 unit for the job when removed from 30.G.VII.

(3) Attwater camwheel to be fitted ExS.1309/1Q end float to be limited to .004.

(4) Metalastik "40" dynamo coupling to be fitted. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} will supply.

(5) Set of Vandervell little end bushes to be fitted upside down, i.e. blanking oil hole through the rod and drip feeding the gudgeon pin from the top.

(6) Cylinder block as instructed in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.4.39. Nickel-Chrome-Molybdenum, Nos.4, 5 and 6 bores to have Phosphor-Chrome short inserts.

(7) Nickel-Molybdenum cylinder head as instructed in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.4.39. Inlet valve seats in cylinder opened up to suit original size Wraith inlet valve which should be fitted. (EW.1429).
