Dear Sirs,

Ref. Lodge Model S1. Steatite Plug.

We think you may be interested in a new model steatite plug we have recently developed, namely our Model S1. This has been designed more particularly for coil ignition. The insulator projects from the body of the plug at the sparking end, the object being that the tip of the insulator keeps sufficiently hot to keep clean. The actual spark gap projects well away from the metal body and this results in very good slow running performance.

A set of these plugs has been fitted to the writer's 25 h.p. Rolls with marked improvement in slow running on weak mixtures, and there has been no signs of preignition on extended runs at full throttle.

We are sending you under separate cover 9 sample S1. plugs, and we should be very interested to have your opinion of them.

Yours faithfully,

LODGE PLUGS LIMITED.

Bernard Hopps.
DIRECTOR.
