LODGE PLUGS.

It has been decided that the so-called water-proof terminal fitted to the recently standardised Lodge C.3 plug is not sufficiently useful to justify its extra cost. 300 of these plugs and terminals have been delivered to the works, but only six production engines have been fitted with them up to the present, and none of these has yet left the works. The terminals should be taken off all cars so fitted up and returned to the stores. Will Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/MS. please arrange to return all the water-proof terminals to the makers and to order a similar number of the old standard terminals to replace them with. It will be necessary to revert to the old metal high tension wire and and to the plug extension pieces on the exhaust side of the engine.

Will Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} please circularise this information to any depots who have received this type of plug for replacement.

It should be clearly understood that the new Lodge C.3 plug is still required, but that the old type terminal must be reverted to.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}
