FHR2/1161112 Mr Wormald. GRAND HOTEL DU CANADEL, Par le Lavandou, (VAR) 16th Nov. 1912. RECEIVED Mr Johnson from F.H.R. for T.S. RE TAPER VALVE SPRINGS. I have Mr Barrington's memo ref. TBB8/L71112 concerning above. I feel sure we have done all that is possible in design. Very pleased Mr Barrington thinks that the breakages of these are due to defective metal. Some French firms are excellent at springs. Try the steel makers who also make springs; cannot call any to mind just now except Poldi and Austria. Some Continental springs are delivered polished all over. I thought they were made from tempered wire like music wire (large); they were in Metallurgique I think. F.H.R. X74 R | ||
