Appeal for labour dilution to replace skilled men with female workers to support the national effort.

DILUTION. I appeal to all concerned to dilute to the maximum, so that increased production effort can be given without the necessity of additional skilled labour. Further if possible, to make available the transfer of skilled men to help the national effort in other directions. The main consideration should be:- Can these operations or processes etc., be carried out by female dilution. This should apply to all Depts. including:- Machining. Fitting. Inspecting. Foundries. Semi-skilled processes. Labouring. Washing. Clerical work. Truck Driving, etc. Will all superintendents, please investigate with their foremen and supervisors in each Dept., the possibilities of further dilution. Their recommendations should be filled in as per specimen form H.III. attached, supplies of which can be obtained by application to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GB. E.W. HIVES.
