We are enclosing herewith our file of the specification of Myth Chassis with the M.40 engine of 1.267 litres. The engine section is almost complete and we suggest that you fill in now the other sections adding scheme numbers where they are available or a note "Design required" when such is the case. This will enable us to draw up a statement of what design work is outstanding to complete Myth. Where necessary add a note "Design to be supplied by Coachwork Section." Below we give a few notes on the specification for your guidance. Engine. As previously stated, the engine section is almost complete. The following items are outstanding. a.{Mr Adams} The General Oil Filter, to PL.339 is now obsolete as the Company do not wish to make a new small size filter, and are submitting a fresh design with central screw fitting. This appears on Sec.5200 & 5203. b. Air Silencer. The air silencer on PL.339 has to be redesigned to clear the dash. This is sec.5082. c. Cam Forms. The cam forms will be set out at some future date by Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden} sec. 509. The water pump Sec.5160 is good for drainage and needs none of the treatment recently applied to the water pump of the Senior Range e.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Bi-Metal Water Temperature Recorder.
