-2- Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/JH.29.11.40. Clutch. A clutch casing has been done for column control gearchange PL.335, but it will do for side levers. A design is needed for clutch actuation based on CD.1499. A rigid flywheel as an alternative is shewn on PL.359. For BM.40 a scheme is needed for applying the larger clutch and new bell housing see project PL.357. Gearbox. A gearbox has been designed for Studebaker Column Control see PL.232/3/4 PL.280. A scheme for applying a servo for BM.40 engine is shewn on PL.381. The first car is to have side levers, and Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/Tln. has a project partly completed. We have to consider using the standard and cheaper speedometer drive. Propellor shaft. The slip joint at the rear of the gearbox for M.40 is shewn on PL.232. A design is needed for the prop. shaft using Hardy Spicer Joints No.1200. Rear Axle. The Salisbury axle will be used on the first car. A scheme for a R.R. axle based on Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}'s project is required. Rear wheels and Brakes. A scheme for this is completed PL.372. Consideration has to be given to the use of the Kelsey Hayes wheel. Front Suspension - pivots - wheels. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} has this in hand.
