Re Chassis 56-FW. Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Hemeret. Extract of Paris memo Wa{Mr Wallis}2/Go17.11.21. " We should be obliged if you would give us a decision on the following matter. When above client's chassis was delivered we supplied him with a standard Exide 12-volt Battery. Shortly after, when he had run his car about 1000 Kilometers, he returned as his battery would not hold the charge. On examination we found that two elements had buckled and started leaking. The repairs cost Frs.131.25. The client does not admit that he should pay for this. Will the Exide Company refund us or will R.R. Ltd. ? Whilst on the subject of accumulators, as you are no doubt aware, the above is not the only case of faulty Exide accumulators. Ps. quited a certain number last month, since then 10 more have come in this week, the repairs for which cost on the average 125 Francs per battery." | ||
