1204 To M/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/JH.19.1.40. Thanks for your M/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}4/MM.15.1.30. I have written to Leyland regarding Sharples oil cleaning system. Mr. Worth of British Filters has evolved a filter which seems to me to be better and much cheaper to replace the Vokes element. I will arrange for him to come to Derby, when you are down here. I am glad you have been able to get hold of Reid and Peach as testers. You will be pleased to know that we are gradually getting the car job re-organised. We are on with the Marine version of the rationalised range of engine. We are trying to get some discs pressed into the crankshafts, but the job seems to have got mislaid. Perhaps you can help us out when you come down to Derby.
