EFC. } from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} SECRET X7685 R4/M30.1.29. REC'D AT WW. 4.2.29. SS.{S. Smith} SEQUENCE STARTER. X.4562. X.7625 I cannot help thinking we are doing all manner of odd things instead of the simplest scheme of well rounding all the corners, and then with suitable springs and forces the engagement will be all right. EAC.7 only stuck once in nearly two years, and was an early attempt. I favour either simple nearly sharp engaging corners with rounded disengaging corners, and also perhaps the top corners of the engaging rounded. Also many times I have asked what Bosch does on his similar engaging corners; they are in Mercedes and several other cars. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
