general characteristics of the steering with this arrangement is the same as with the 1500 lbs. springs in the old type end, an arrangement which was considered to be the best all round compromise by Sales and Works after extensive tests in London traffic and on the continent. We are continuing to use this scheme on future chassis until we get an opportunity of comparing it directly with N.Sch.2301 (combined set up and double rating) on a 10,000 miles continental road test.

Our impression so far is that N.Sch.2301 will give better steering when used in conjunction with front axle control. We have not yet had an opportunity of giving this latter scheme an extended trial.
