NEW TYPE TYRES. ------- On the question of wear and tear with the experimental silent type tyre which has been running on our Trials car, this has now covered a distance of 4,700 miles. The treads have now been carefully examined by our drivers and they are of the opinion that the rear tyres, which show a certain amount of wear and tear, have worn definitely less than they would have expected standard Silent tyres to have worn under the same conditions of service. They do not expect the standard Silent tread to be effective for longer than 7,000 miles use. C. | ||
