To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. Y3496? EFC1/T3.10.27. FERRANTI AMMETER FOR CHASSIS. Herewith we return this instrument. We could not consider this at all in its present form. As there is likelihood of the new experimental instrument board being standardised, it might be worth while seeing if Messrs. Ferranti would be prepared to make up an instrument in that style, in which style we have already had an Elliott ammeter. Particulars of this would be obtainable in the D.O. With regard to the instrument now returned, we noted that it read about 15% low on all readings. This of course is only a question of the right shunt, but it appeared to us strange that the instrument should be this amount in error. EFC. | ||
