We have received your telegram: HOW MUCH OIL AS YOUR AXLE LOST VENT IT BY DRILLING.187 HOLE IN TOP FILLER PLUG THIS should cure SECURE NS{Norman Scott} OIL LEAK ROBOTHAM.

We have drilled the hole as per your instructions, the amount of oil lost as been 1/2 pint in 4000 miles.

We are running into valve trouble owing to the valves that are loosing all the clearance are the SLV that is if our sheets are correct giving the order of the valves fitted. We propose to take the cylinder head off at 5.000 miles to investigate the conditions of the valves, we have not any other serious trouble developing.
