February 1st,1944 For the attention of J.E.L.Marshall Esq. Dear Sir, We confirm the writers recent visit to your works, when a sample seat frame and trim pads were left with you. We should be glad to know if you have had an opportunity to investigate the possibilities of a removeable cushion for a seat of this type. We would confirm that we do not require such modifications to be made to sample seat now in your possession. Referring to your comments that the cushion springs would be reduced in length, we would prefer that any reduction is not by more than twice the frame thickness. To make sure of this we are prepared, if necessary, to sacrifice the lower backrest spring. The writer would be most interested to learn the results of your investigations. We are. Yours faithfully, for Rolls-Royce Limited. | ||
