EMBIRICOS RUN ON BROOKLANDS.

Some preliminary tests were run on this car on Monday night.

Early on Tuesday morning the hour's run under official R.A.C. observation was carried out with the following results:-

114 miles 1123 yards per hour

Best Lap - 115.02 miles per hour.

The run was carried out on standard BP. fuel from the pump and Wakefield Castrol XXL oil. Dunlop tyres 19 x 6½ were fitted on the rear. These held the engine revs. down to a maximum of 3,750 thereby ensuring reliability.

When the Press arrived they were, in turn, driven round the Track, and were then told that the car would do 10 miles, officially observed, at over 115 m.p.h. 10 miles were covered at an average speed of 115.05 m.p.h. Conditions were not very favourable, there was a strong cross wind blowing which made the car difficult to handle.

Capt. Eyston drove exceedingly well.
