114 m.p.h. BY CAPTAIN EYSTON.
—The highest speed ever attained by a standard closed car at Brooklands was achieved early to-day by Captain George Eyston. He covered 114.62 miles in an hour at the wheel of a streamlined Bentley. The speed was officially timed by the R.A.C.
