E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Fowler Clark,

Thank you for your letter of the 15th inst. re ignition. I am very glad to get this because I hate having trouble without knowing what it is and when one knows what it is it seems so much easier to deal with.

When the coil and ballast resistance comes to hand I will try changing the ballast resistance only as you suggest and see what happens. It may take some time for the mis-fire to come back so that it may take a little time before I can give you a proper report.

One hears of people running cars with 'Delco' ignition for tens of thousands of miles without any trouble. What is there in a 'Delco' coil which enables this to be so apparently more reliable?

You might like a copy of our latest Wireless Catalogue as it might be useful. I enclose it.

Yours sincerely,

G.R.N. Minchin
