CUTOUT EX CHASSIS 44 UF.
-RR. CRICKLEWOOD.-
This instrument has been examined and tested. The faults of this are as follows :-
(1) The electrical adjustment is incorrect as received by us, i.e. it would not pass our specification of adjustment.
(2) The moving point blade is not adjusted so that the tip rests on the armature
(3) The series coil bobbin was not properly screwed down on to the base, although it was not loose and this would not contribute to the irregular working.
(4) A contributory cause of the incorrect working is that there are some specks of foreign matter in the gap between the arm and the shunt coil pole tip.
The electrical circuits and insulations are O.K.
Instrument returned herewith to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EFC.
