CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. X3806
X7420

Herewith we send N. schs. 2596/7. shewing the re-arrangement of the centralised lubrication on the front axle to suit the combined Enots Bijur scheme.

The drawings are alternative proposals.
N. sch. 2597. leaves the present fittings on the axle practically unaltered, and requires only one lubricating point.

N. sch. 2596. requires some modified pieces and has two lubricating points, but reduces the number of pipes and drip plugs.

We are not certain which will be preferred, but we think the safest plan would be to use N. sch. 2597., as this makes provision for the lubrication of the axle control.

Possibly the Exp. Dept. have views on the desirability of one or two points of lubrication on the axle.

The remaining instructions for the modification of the lubrication system are following immediately.
