Dear Geoffrey,

I would like to get a figure of merit for the .3 carbon steel we have been using for our frames against the .2 carbon which you are going to produce.

Being sheet specialists you are probably better equipped to give a figure of merit for a specimen than we are and, therefore, if you would give me particulars of the test pieces you use for obtaining your physical quantities, I will send you suitable portions of our existing frame material.
