rig for bending the frame of the chassis from its side so as to arrive at the earliest possible date at the weakest portions of the new chassis?

It must not be forgotten that all prophecies as to the date at which chassis or parts of chassis of new designs will be delivered to Sales have been entirely wrong.

We ought to take advantage of our 20 years' experience in this respect in reviewing this - the most important - departure in the history of the Company.

To be in a position in which we could not deliver any further chassis of the present pattern, which at the present moment is selling extremely well, and at the same time to find that we could not deliver to the public the new chassis because of its unsatisfactory features, would be nothing less than a calamity.

Therefore, in the interests of the Company, earnest and careful review of every circumstance surrounding the situation is desirable and urgent.

The situation calls for resolute decision that no further alterations should be introduced into the design of EAC.II until after the manufacture of the first 200, on the ground that the alterations are improvements. The only alterations which should be considered are alterations to remedy something which has proved to be faulty.
