R.R. SHOCK DAMPERS.

We find that both on the Packard and the Oldsmobile that the rear dampers are set with a large leak characteristic on the bump stroke. We have found this useful on Wraith, but have experienced a lot of difficulty in getting adequate replenishment into the rebound cylinder. This is owing to the leak having to be a discharge into reservoir.

Delco's overcome the trouble by having large disc replenishing valves.

We should like a scheme giving for large replenishing valves in our standard damper piston.
