HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [Stamped] ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}6/M1.12.27. EAC. 7. STEERING. [Handwritten and struck through] X7430 With reference to the length of the pendulum lever, and the resulting steering ratio on EAC. 7., R.{Sir Henry Royce} approves of the use of the 7.5" pendulum lever on this car. We understand that the instantaneous ratio between the wheel and the stub axle on EAC. 7. with a 7.5" pendulum lever is approximately 15.8 to 1. When your tests are complete, and you are satisfied that there are no disadvantages arising from this ratio we shall probably wish to standardise it.
