(7) Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}

from the 101st. chassis in 'D' series onwards, R.R. Ltd. to pay the cost of the 100 sets of pressings which are scrap £26. 5s. 0d. They will invoice the 219 coolers delivered accordingly - 120 against current order, and 99 against replacement orders.

(8) Car Heater.

The writer inspected the sample car heater to our drawings which Messrs. Marstons are making up for us and which is practically complete. It appears to be satisfactory and will be forwarded to us for test purposes at the end of this week.

(9) Passing off of Bentley II Dummy shutter sets.

The writer took over to Messrs. Marstons a production B.II radiator unit fitted up as a passing off rig for dummy shutter sets, and explained just what would be required in this connection - also that the radiator remains our property and is to be returned to us at completion of order.

The above mentioned quotations will be officially confirmed in a letter to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}

Messrs. Marstons were justifiably very annoyed at Roy{Sir Henry Royce}'s complaint to the I.C.I. administration about the machining of the union faces of reconditioned oil coolers. In our opinion this has done more harm than good, and was unnecessary since Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. had already discussed this question and was in touch with Marstons about this point. Such a step should only be necessary if it is otherwise impossible to obtain satisfaction. Actually Marstons have shown readiness to fall in with our wishes and co-operate in every way possible.

RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/S td.
