Phantom III Hydraulic Jacks.

As we are having considerable trouble with oil leaks at various points we suggest you look for this trouble as soon as possible on production chassis in some such as the following manner -

(1) Jack up the whole car and then wipe dry the eight jack extension tubes. Release the jacks; on re-jacking the car the tubes should be dry. Repeat two or three times.

(2) When the car is fully jacked up, continue a further dozen strokes of the pump. This increased pressure will show up any leaks at unions, etc., and possibly at the jack extensions also.

(3) Jack front and rear separately to ensure that the valves work correctly.

(4) With the jacks retracted, top up the reservoir.
