RE. COVERED BODIES FOR TESTING X.8830
BODY SUB FRAME X.8380

We thank you for your C9/LH{Mr Haworth}11.11.24. received today, having sent to Derby in error. This often happens and we would again suggest that all letters to the writer should be addressed direct to 'CamachaHenry Royce's office in West Wittering' West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.

We like the Barker body No.L.5977. in general, and whilst it looks a huge body we presume it is the normal type sold to customers, and therefore the one which should be tested.

With regard to the Hooper enclosed limousine No.2296, we think the lines of this are not so elegant. It appears to have a very high side and shallow windows, and although 1" lower than the other body it appears higher. We think that the dimensions appertaining to the height of the rear seat cushion is in error, and the 15" should read to the centre of the compressed squab. Provided you yourselves are pleased with this body we think that it should be bought, but we are rather afraid that should it come before Mr. Royce's notice, it is one of those bodies which would not be happily received.

One underframe will soon be ready, and we will instruct Derby to send this to Messrs. Barkers & Co. The other one will not be ready until a little later so if you could find us a better looking body at Hoopers we should have time to look round.

We are doing everything we can under the circumstances to complete this XX job.
