Mr. Wormald, Messrs The Rolls-Royce Ltd., Osmaston Road, Derby. (2). treatise) but I shall be pleased to match any Tap you care to send me so that you may satisfy yourself by a trial that my invention is all that I claim it to be. I would point out specially to you that it is absolutely proof against vibration, and such an accident as that which caused the only involuntary stop in the 15000 miles R.A.C trial of the Rolls-Royce Car, could not possibly occur. I have shown this model to many prominent Motorists & it has invariably received favourable comment. Mr. Chas Jarrott said that he considered it "undoubtedly an excellent device". I have sent you this model (the only one I possess at present ) as it occurred to me that you might wish to adopt it as an exclusive feature of Rolls-Royce Car; I am making arrangements to have it Manufactured in all types and in a short time could supply you direct, or in the event of you manufacturing your own taps, could arrange to work it on a Royalty basis. As I am giving you the first opportunity of considering this invention which I am naturally anxious to market at an early date, I shall be glad if you will reply to the above at your earliest convenience. Yours faithfully, Percy E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Whyte | ||
