| X261 W/S - Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}7/KW.13.11.35. Chassis No. B-110-DG. Geoffrey Smith. Replying to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}8/KW.11.11.35, we can deal with Geoffrey Smith's car any time he can let us have it. We consider that if he is suffering from high oil consumption and his car is noisy when it is cold, it is a bad advertisement and we ought to make him part with it as soon as possible. We are certainly interested in the alleged noise when starting up, because in over 100,000 miles' running on lead bronze bearings we have not previously experienced the trouble.
