X4601 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Copies to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BP. BJ3/H8.10.23. 10,000 MILES PRODUCTION TEST CHASSIS. X4601 / X4594 Hsl/LG5.10.23. We quite agree that it is necessary that there should be a distinct line drawn between the experimental 10,000 miles tests and the production chassis 10,000 miles tests. The production 10,000 miles test can only take place on one of the first of a series of chassis which are being produced, and therefore cannot possibly commence until all the parts on that chassis have been standardised. The experimental 10,000 miles tests are made on parts which are being tested before they are standardised for production. B.J. | ||
